Plan for the experience of a lifetime on a tour with old
friends and new as we sweep you away for 14 days to 8 countries:
Friday, April 30
Leave in the morning from Austin airport, to Cincinnati, to
New York and then continue to the Czech Republic. Arrive in Prauge
next morning.
Saturday, May 1
Arrive in Prague, airport Ruzyne, where the luxury
bus with attendant team (including your tour guide) will be waiting for
you. Depart to the hotel for check-in. Dinner after arrival.
Sunday, May 2
In the morning, sight seeing of Prague. You can see the Prague castle,
Hradcany, St. Vitus Cathedral, Golden Lane, walk on the Charles Bridge,
which was built in the 14th century. On the Old Town Square see the astronomical
clock – Prague horologe. In the afternoon visit the Wenceslas Square
and have free time for your own sightseeing and shopping. In the evening
take a boat ride on the Vltava river, see the beauties of Prague in the
evening – beautifully illuminated Prague Castle, Vyšehrad,
National Theatre and other sights of Prague, listen to good accordion
music.
Monday, May 3
After breakfast, we finish shopping in Prague and have lunch. Depart for
Moravian, the town of Zlin, known for Bata shoe factory founded in 1894,
which gradually became worldwide. Check-in. Dinner. Some free time for
resting.
Tuesday, May 4
In the morning, depart to Karolinka – factory producing glass. You
can see the glass being made right at the glass ovens. There is the possibility
to buy glass for reasonable price in the factory shop. Arrive in Slušovice
- shopping in the crystal shop, also offers china and other gifts. There
is horse-race track and golf course inside the track next to the shop.
Some free time for shopping. In the evening big party with Veselanka band,
which has played in Texas several times. Music – dancing –
drinking – singing. All will have a great time!!
Wednesday, May 5
Depart to Salzburg (Austria), on the way stop in Vienna, the capital of
Austria – sightseeing in the city – Hofburg – imperial
palace accommodated the Habsburgs until 1918, St. Stephen Church, the
National Opera House, Flower Garden, Prater with famous ferris wheel.
Shopping. Continue on the way to Salzburg, check-in and some free time.
Thursday, May 6
In the morning, depart to Eagle´s Nest which was a project of Martin
Boorman and given to Adolf Hitler for his 50th birthday, on behalf of
the NSDAP. The road to the Eagle’s Nest parking lot is considered
a feat of engineering. The road was blasted out of solid rock in only
13 months time and is considered to be unique in this construction design.
In the afternoon you can take the sound of music tour or go shopping downtown.
You can visit the center of the city where famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus
Mozart was born.
Friday, May 7
Depart to Luzern (Switzerland), on the way stop to visit Swarovski Crystal
Worlds in Wattens, on display there are the world’s largest perfectly
cut crystal, but most spectacular is a magnificent wall, it’s over
35 feet high and 136 feet long – filled with 12 tons of cut crystal
in all shapes, sizes and colors. Depart to Liechtenstein, the fourth smallest
autonomous state in the world, it is one of the last monarchies place.
Visit the capital Vaduz. You will see the Vaduz castle, which is on the
hill overlooking the residence of the Prince of Liechtenstein. Arrival
in Luzern, check-in, free time.
Saturday, May 8
Sightseeing and shopping in Luzern, this town occupies a remarkable site
at the northwestern end of Lake Lucerne, where the Reuss River resumes
its flow. The symbol of Luzerne is a 500-foot long wooden covered bridge
across the Reuss. In the afternoon go on so-called “Golden trip”
– go by cable car up to the top of the mountain Pilatus (5,000 ft.
high), go down by a steep railway to the lake Luzern and take a boat back
to Luzern. This is an unforgettable trip. Dinner.
Sunday, May 9
In the morning depart to Monaco (Nice), on the way stop in Minimundus
– contains 120 miniature replication of the world’s greatest
sights. You can visit the whole world in an unbelievable one day, and
if you take pictures on your camera, nobody can recognize that it’s
not real. After this amazing experience depart to Monaco (Nice). Check-in.
Free time.
Monday, May 10
Monaco, an ancient principality steeped in a rich and colorful history,
is considered by many to be Europe’s most fascinating country. Though
the Principality covers but one square mile, it stands as a proud monarchy
with his Serene Highness Prince Rainier III as its head of state. Sight
seeing with a local guide. Free time for shopping. Come back to hotel.
Tuesday, May 11*
Depart to Rome, the capital of Italy, on the way stop in town Pisa which
was an ancient Roman naval base. Visit the Square of the Miracles, which
forms one of the finest architectural ensembles in the world, and visit
the Leaning tower, it started to lean because of the unstable alluvial
ground it was built on. Arrive in Rome, check-in. Free time.
Wednesday, May 12*
Depart to Vatican, which is the smallest state in the world. It is a seat
of our Pope. You can see St. Peter’s Cathedral, the biggest one
all over the world. It can hold 60,000 people. Visit the Vatican’s
rooms (Sistine Chapel) with the precious pictures, tapestries and you
can rise up the terrace of the cathedral and have a beautiful view of
Rome. St. Peter’s square is the master piece, very beautiful with
140 statues of the Saints around. In the afternoon, free time for shopping
or resting.
Thursday, May 13*
In the morning sightseeing of Rome, you can see the Coliseum – it
could hold 50,000 spectators who came to watch duels, gladiators wrestling
against lions, chariot races and even naval battles, Roman Forum, once
the religious, political and trade centre of Ancient Rome. It reflects
the twelve centuries of history. In the afternoon visit beautiful Basilica
of St Paul Without the Walls. See Fountain De Trevi and Venezia Square.
Free time for shopping.
Friday, May 14
Early in the morning depart to Rome airport. Fly back to Austin.
Home sweet home.
* NOTE
For those that have been to Rome, the hotel is walking distance from downtown
shopping area. The Vatican is a 30 minute walk from hotel.
