}}}}The best candles by far, and little known because they are new to the market, are "Lobue's Candles"!! The candle I have been looking for! These candles have it all, fantastic fragrance, long lasting, beautiful colors, clean burning and they really do burn to the edge of the jar! Uses every bit of the wax and completly fills my whole house with the most wonderful scents imagined. I can't put into words how I feel about finally finding the Perfect Candle. They have truly mastered the art of candlemaking. Their site address is: www.lobues.net/ |

I love both brands but yes, I would choose Tyler anyday if I had to choose between the two. Yankee candles do burn longer though. And are larger mean}}ing as the mother of six that I am, I get more for my money in that area. I am a big candle user and only have yankee and Tyler. It seems Tyler ends up in the most important rooms though. My bedroom, living room , at home office. No one can beat their scent quality. |

I have tried every brand of candle you could name, Yankee, Lincoln, Aspen Bay, Village, Colonial, Pier One, Party Lite, etc. I bought Tyler candles at the local Hallmark at 50% off as they were discontinuing them. I love them. They are the best scented and burning candles ever. I love them, did i already say that? I just ordered Eggnog and Candy Cane jars from this website. The room sprays are great also. |

I agree, that the Tyler candle is the best one I have ever tried. I bought a few at a Hallmark store based on the scent in the box. Then I burned one, Pineapple, and within minutes my whole house smelled like fresh pineapples. The fact they are not paraffin but soy based is a real plus. I don't seen the black soot around the rim like other brands. The wicks are supposed to help pull the oil through the wax releasing the fragrance. Maybe this is their secret to such strong fragrance. I also like that they burn evenly, not down the middle. |

Hello, I have burned Yankee candles for a long time and have no problem with them. However, only reading/hearing about these new Tyler candles... How do they compare? Has anyone have an opinion on which they like better? I guess I should just buy a few Tyler candles and see or smell for myself! Thank you, Shelly |

I have burned the Tyler candles opposed to the Yankee Candles. Both are good, but in my opinion, the Tyler Candles produce more scent. They both burn well, but the Tyler candles will burn across and not down. Upon cooling, I like the way the wax conforms back onto the wick. I have burned the three wick Tyler candles and of all that I have burned, you can smell them all over the house. I hope this helps. |

Thanks Terra, Question, when you say "burn across" and "conforms back to the wick". What exactly to do yo mean? I guess you mean: Tyler candles do not burn down, as in "waste most of the candle". I've seen many candles that the burn down the center and eventually you can't light the candle any more!! Well, if Tyler candles burn "evenly"... that is pretty good Thanks PS. any one else have an opinion? |

I agree I have burned both and hands down the Tyler candles are better. You will not believe how much scent they give off. |

I'll never buy another Yankee Candle after trying Tyler. There is NO comparison! |

What I didn't know before I started collecting candles was that you shouldn't bother to light one unless you are going to let it burn long enough to melt the entire top. Otherwise, it will never burn evenly and you will not get the full value out of the candle. |

I have become addicted to the scented candles at www.comfycandles.com. After I burn their candles I can still smell the aroma in my bedroom the next day. It's really cool... especially when I've come home from a long (and boring)day at work!

i make my own candles and i would like to say that the candles i make are made one at a time by only me. they burn across instead of down and they throw hot or cold fragrance as well and maybe better than yankee or tyler. i feel like i have created the perfect candle but no one knows about it. i use only the best dye, fragrance and of course the wax is the best i can find. i just wanted to tell somebody about my candles, thank you for taking the time to read this.

Was just wondering what people thought about:
"WHO Makes the BEST Candles"... If you had to list your top 5 candle makers... who would they be?
I guess my purpose is to find out about other candle manufactors that I don't know about.
Anyway, here are my choices:
1. Tyler (of'course)
2. Trapp
3. Yankee
4. Circle E
5. well, can't think of one that qualifies to be in the top 5 spot

Tyler
Trapp
Circle E
Anna, have you ever tried Trapp's Black Pepper candle? It smells SO good! Unfortunately, of course, Trapp candles aren't strong enough to compete so I hardly burn mine anymore.
I hope that in the near future, Tyler comes out with more spicy scents and more foody scents!

Anyone want to do some swapping? I have several candles that I love but would rather have other scents. I'm hooked on Cinnabuns right now and would love to get more of those!

I bought one today and paid 23 dollars for it (and these are small candles). Why did I do that? I cannot smell it yet and it has been burning for nearly an hour. They burn very slowly and the top hasn't melted yet. Maybe when it does, it will put out more scent. If it doesn't, I'm going to email Ergo and complain.
Doh! What was I thinking?

I found out that Ergo makes several different scent levels. The one I bought was a Level 4 (out of 6). I emailed the company and they wrote back immediately, and are going to contact the retailer here and try to get my refund. The gift shop here will probably not let me take it back since I tossed the box and the receipt, then lit the candle.

Oh, and no, to smell a Level 4 Ergo, you have to be a dog. Or maybe I'm just spoiled from Tyler candles.
